If you've been reading this blog for a while you will know how much music is a massive part of it. I love sharing all my favourite music with you and bringing you interviews with some of my favourite people behind the songs. I always try and incorporate music and songs into my blog in a fun way and try and always do something a little bit different with those posts and it makes me so happy when I read your lovely tweets and comments about finding a new favourite song or artist that you now love too.
One of my favourite things when I was wee were mixtapes, one of my earliest memories is my sisters (who were all a lot older and knew how to do that whole 'recording the radio on a tape' thing already) all making me mixtapes to take on holiday with me and they would write what every song was and why they chose it for me. I honestly don't think there is anything better than someone making you a personalised mixtape and it's' something that I have wanted to incorporate into my blog for a while.
So, this is what I've came up with- Themed playlists....but not just any type of themes, no all the themes will be random/fun/quirky/weird (delete as applicable)
I really hope you like this idea and I have had the most fun making them, I really do love working to a theme haha!
I honestly don't think there is anything better than finding music to match your mood and I hope that you do with all my new playlists I'm posting.
The other fun thing I wanted to do was create some artwork to go along with the playlist, I love song listings so you can see what songs next and what you want to skip (hopefully none haha) so I just created a fun little messy watercolour to go along with it.
Also I have had so much fun making these playlists I thought it might be a fun idea if I make you some personalised playlists, maybe make it into a giveaway or something, you tell me what your feeling/going through/want music to help you with and I will make you a playlist to match and send you a mixtape?
I don't know, it was just something I was toying with, let me know what you think?
So without further ado, here is the....
"Songs that have the word summer in the title to remind you it is - even though it might not feel like it" playlist
