How To Wear Colour On Your Eyes

I thought I would just do a really fun look today.
When I was younger I used to use every colour eyeshadow under the sun and I always had on a colourful eyeliner to match and I feel like as I've gotten older I stick to my got-to golden eye with black flick.
I seem to shy away from using as much colour on my eyes so I wanted to try and create a look that used colour but still looked a bit more grown up and less like I'd stuck my face in a rainbow.

I kept my lid eyeshadow free and just did a slick of black gel liner along my top lash line ending in a flick.
I then took a black eyeliner pencil and rimmed my water line and my inner top lash line so my eyes looked really defined.
I then drew quite a thick line underneath my bottom lashes with the black pencil, I smudged it with my fingers so that it looks really smoky and messy, its ok if it looks a bit dark and gives the impression that you've never sleep in 10 years and the next step calms the darkness of it down a bit.

Take an eyeshadow that is a really strong pop of colour I choose THIS which is called Asphyxia and it's from Urban Decay, It's a strong colour but also has an iridescent feel to it.  I also knew that tone of purple would work well with the black, a green would also work great too.

You then just brush a thick line of eyeshadow under and into the black smudgy line you have created, make sure you blend it altogether and make the colour go as far down under your lashes as you like.

And that's it.

I like the pop of colour being under my eyes rather than on my actual eye socket where I used to always put it as I think it defines your eyes a bit better and makes you look less like your going to a school disco, if you know what I mean?

I hope you like it, let me know what you think and if you've got any questions leave them in the comments below or give me a tweet HERE.

P.S. I've just had a google and the eyeshadow I have used to create the look is in the sale HERE for £8.40
