Perfect Beach Reads - From What I Remember Book Review

'Kylie Flores – class brain and movie addict – has been planning her big graduation day speech for three months. A scholarship student, she would never dream of mixing with the likes of Max Langston – rich, undeniably handsome and athletic, but totally dead from the neck up. So it’s a total mystery when Kylie wakes up in Mexico, with the hangover from hell, in a bed she doesn’t recognise, next to Max – and they are both wearing wedding bands . . .
Rewind 48 hours to find out just how and why they got there!'

I know the whole point in doing book reviews is to give you my opinion on the book which will then give you a better understanding of the book and what it's about and help you work out if you want to read it or not but you know when some books are just so good and fun and sort of perfect in all the right places, well that's what this one is like so I sort of feel like the only thing I want to write here is GO BUY THIS BOOK. Because honestly I really think you should but I'm a stickler for rules so I'll try and stick to the whole 'guidelines of writing a book review' and give you a little more info...

Basically this is like a teen version of The Hangover.  Any review you read about this book will most probably say the same thing and that's because the basic premise of the whole waking up and not remembering what happened the night before thing is super similar to the way the movie did it but the difference between The Hangover and this book is that this story has so much heart and it has that whole 'American teen romantic comedy' feel to it which just works perfectly.

I think this is the first book that I have ever read that made me feel like I was watching a movie.  That's a totally weird thing to say because reading a book is not like watching a movie at all, but if you've read it you'll know what I mean.  There was so much fast paced action in the book, like chase scenes, suspenseful moments, that kinda thing.  And each one of these moments were described so perfectly that it was like reading a written movie.
And it all became a bit more clear why after reading a little bit about the two authors who wrote this book both Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas write TV shows and films (including LIZZIE McGUIRE, i.e the best TV show and movie ever when I was growing up) so that's obviously why the book is written so amazingly well.  I have also heard that the movie rights to the book have been bought by Paramount Pictures and that Mr OC himself  josh Schwartz , is going to produce it which to me will be a match made in teen romcom heaven.  So read the book quick before the film comes out.

This book is the perfect coming of age story set to a back drop of graduating and unexpected road trips to Mexico. It's filled with lines you want to quote and put on your pinterest and enough fast paced action and laughs to keep you glued to finding out what really went on before the hangover from the night before.

All that's left for me to say is what I started with GO BUY THIS BOOK

Buy it HERE for £5.45
